UNCOVERING BODIES

UNCOVERING BODIES” Is an innovative movement workshop that aims to challenge the dominant narrative surrounding the colonization of bodies. Through this workshop program participants will engage in traditional indigenous and non-western practices while also undertaking exercises to decolonize their bodies, by embracing a diverse range of movement traditions and questioning the ways in which our understanding of the body has been influenced, this workshop offers an experimental and transformative experience for all participants. It incorporates somatic practices, improvisation, and natural ritual movements to explore the concept of embodied experience. Through heightened awareness and sharing the fundamental principles of my artistic approach, I hope to awaken participants’ innate creativity and facilitate a deeper understanding of the process of decolonizing the body through movement. This workshop will be structured as an open jam session, allowing free-flowing exploration and expression.
